Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

Gave the Brown coupe a few pumps on clutch pedal, slave cylinder was a bit stiff but freed off. Could not run it as battery was flat and I had no electric in shed, to charge it up. As I am rewiring the shed at moment, so hope clutch not stuck to flywheel.

Re: Oil filter question

As Chris says GFE 150 is the original Unipart number. Genuine supplies of this seem to have long since dried up. ebay do have a few plain white filters listed as GFE 150 how good they are is anyone's guess. I have been using a Mann and Hummel W 713/14 on my Brown Coupe.

Re: 1700-2000 O- series

It is not uncommon for a manufacture to use identical connecting rods when stroking a engine on cost grounds but a piston with a different Gudgeon Pin height to be used to I not sure if I read somewhere Dolomite Sprint con rods were used as a starting point having said that I may be thinking of the ...

Re: Wiring a tachometer

I recently had a RVC rev counter, in a MGC rebuilt and converted to modern RVI type by Speedy Cables. As we fitted a Pertonix Ignition to it stopping the old RVC unit from functioning https://speedycables.com › Instrument & Gauge Services

Re: Wiring a tachometer

So to Confirm you have wired as followed from ignition switch out to revcounter then from revcounter to ignition coil positive removing the original white wire so the current flows through revcounter

I haven't used one per say but think they are a very good idea allowing easy timing curve adjustment within the pre programmed range
