Re: VIBRATION

Hi Morris, thank you, but i have two gearboxes awaiting a professional inspection before i fit the best of, as for the propshaft JubileeNut, nothing has been moved along the prop line in at least 30.000 miles, and there's no vibration through the gearstick, This is also something that appears to of ...

VIBRATION

Ok, so, to add insult to injury, i not only have the noisiest gearbox in town, still to be looked at, but now the poor van has developed a horrible vibration at around 50 to 60 mph. not felt at the steering wheel, so suspect the rear end somewhere, what does anybody think?

Re: VAN TEMPERATURE GUAGE

hanks Chris, had a look, and there's the remains of one in there! i emphasis remains.. i am a little hesitant to try and remove it should it break. Does it just go into the block as a blank or does it open up onto the water chamber?
cheers

Re: NOISY GEARBOX

thank you Dave, Dave and Chris, My thoughts exactly, drain check and refill. There's not a lot else i can do anyways! More than that is dramatic, time consuming and costly. I will be gitting it up on the ramps in the next week or so, when i have time, and will report back to y'all. The manual says a...

NOISY GEARBOX

Hi everyone, my gearbox is getting steadily noisier. especially in third, and nearly as bad in second. there's no extra noise in fourth, hardly any in first, or any other gear when NOT accelerating (as if accelerating is a thing in a Marina  ). The history is i have done around 10,000 miles si...

Re: 10cwt van rear brake shoes

thank you everyone, all is very much appreciated. I think the most likely candidate is the TWR GS6067, which, as it's actually available, i think might be my best shot. with the suspect rear brakes possibly coming up in the next MOT, in May, we shall see if it's correct. Yes, i know mine van will be...

Thanks Chris,?
is that part number the BL part number? or the brake shoe manufacturers number? Like GBS740? (which seems to be the most common MGB number)

Re: 10cwt van rear brake shoes

Latest is that all those i approach, from the MGB angle, cannot confirm they are the same, as all listings i have found say just MGB. Do any of you have any confirmation that they are the same?
