Hi all, obviously this thread is 10 years old! Are there any updates on where I can buy wheel but covers for mk 3 Saloon? I did recently buy some from ‘the internet’ that said they would fit, but guess what, they didn’t! Any help/advice would be gratefully received, thank you. I believe Martin Wall...

Re: Ignition Timing for O Series
Do you get a ferry voucher to help if you want to get to main land or is it a sensible fee to start with? Don’t call England the ‘mainland’. The islanders will lynch you! Isle of Man is a country in its own right. It is the mainland and they definitely defend that fiercely! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji...

Re: Dropping Front Suspension
You’ll easily get 2-3 inches by using the trimmers. If you want more then moving the bars a spline or two will also achieve it and more.

What to do about ancient brake calipers?
I’ve rebuilt calipers that have sat for 25 years plus easily. I’d take the pistons out and assess them first.
Or I’ve used these ones in the past.

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
I use a ring spanner, put the half shaft nut on to keep the spanner on and a gentle tap with a hammer and it slides out easily.

Re: Converting a 4 speed gearbox to a 5 speed (1800)
But did it up the gear ratio where it felt like a whole gear? So first would feel like second and 4th would feel like 5th No. Nothing like. It’s only a 11% difference but for me it makes enough difference for covering large distances ( 1000 miles done in 24 hours last year [emoji51] ) I’ve driven 5...

Converting a 4 speed gearbox to a 5 speed (1800)
Used. Claimed to have done only 27k miles and seems in good nick.
Complete diff. It ups the ratio in every gear. First is fine even when pulling away but then my car has a little more torque than a standard 1800.
