I had a similar type of mirror on a Marina back in the 80s, and the little grub screws that held the "pedestal" to the door mount kept vibrating loose, and needed a dab of Loctite. Not sure if your mirrors use the same system?

Re: Fitting door mirrors!
This appears to be an official Mk2 publicity photo, showing what I assume to be the official factory position for your type of door mirror.

Re: Distributor options
I have a Powerspark distributor in my 1750 Aussie TC, was customised by them to suit my requirements. I gave them the advance curve specs from the standard Australian Lucas 29D distributor, told them my cam timing and the standard cam timing, and they came back with the right curve. Has had the cam...

Re: Convert Marina Gearbox to LHD
The Suzuki overdrive 5-speed was also used in the Carry van with the G13 engine. First gear is 3.652:1 compared to the Marina's 3.412, so a taller 3.89 diff (from a 1.3 Ital, Triumph 1500, Some Spitfires) would give the same acceleration from a standing start. Could probably get away with a 3.63 fro...

Re: Electronic Ignition
I bought a complete distributor from Powerspark, mainly because the Australian Marina used a 29D4 that was unique to Australia and had no parts supply. So far no problems with it.

Re: Steering rack mounts
Did Leyland go to solid alloy mounts for the 025 Six? My factory manual shows rubber mounts for the earlier 024. Will have to have a look at what's actually there.

Re: Steering rack mounts
Can anyone who has fitted the Superflex bushes comment on whether they improve steering "feel" or precision, and whether there is any noticable difference in noise, vibration, or harshness?

What numbers does it have stamped on it? Google might help find a match for those.

Do you need to use the ciggie lighter or usb port with the key off, or would it be safer wired off the ignition aux circuit? Although the separate fuse gives you twice as many as standard.

Re: Leyland Marina E-Series Twin Cam
Probably wouldn't be hard to work out the pipe diameters and lengths from photos of a Maxi or Allegro manifold, then buy off-the-shelf bends and weld up your own? (not me, don't have any welding skills)

Re: Leyland Marina E-Series Twin Cam
Unlikely you'll find a Maxi or Allegro one in Australia, as they were never sold there. Kelvin Savage was lucky to find one in NZ. Keep an eye on ebay UK, they turn up there occasionally.

The Aussie E-series manifold is also prone to cracking between the two exhaust branches where they merge into the outlet pipe.
