Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

We have "endless" registration, so if the vehicle is not in use it must be on hold - or you lose the plates. Like your SORN I believe. Yes it sounds similar to SORN except we don't lose the registration number for an un-SORNed vehicle...we just become liable for a fine and possibly prosec...

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

Today I received a reminder from the NZ Transport Agency that the rego of my Marina Coupe "GT83" is about to expire. I have never had this car on the road yet, but I was astounded at the cost for a 12 month renewal. $19.69..! Now THAT makes sense... I take it that this is like our Vehicle...

Re: Should the coupe have looked like this?

I Have thought about badging my Brown Coupe as an MG when fitted the TC 2lt O Series. Not sure if door glass can be trimmed with it being Toughened Glass but just googled it find if heated to 900 deg F in a oven then allowed to cool for 8 hours it can then be cut. Dave The customising magazines of ...

Which does have quite long side glass unlike the Vauxhall Firenza or Capri. I think the first drawing looks a bit like a two door saloon. I was aiming for something Firenza-like. And I was trying to make the rear profile look slimmer.

Re: Should the coupe have looked like this?

I've been toying with bits of paper and a ball point pen. Not sure if it's that much different to the Teal Blue photoshop but I moved the B post back an estimated 4 inches.

Re: Should the coupe have looked like this?

Could the door take a little more length I wonder? To give the window glass more Ford Capri-like proportions?

1975 Hot Car used car feature and 1976 quick update appraisal

I would have liked to have put these is the 'Publications' area but I'm a bit confused by the forum rules about press shots and marketing material, and only one image per post, so I'm putting them here. First I've got several images making up an article from an early 1975 (January I think) Used Car ...

Re: Offerings from Down Under

Is that black sill line (along the bottom of the doors) standard trim for this Australian model, or is it 'customised'? And do I see a solid black radiator expansion tank that you can't see the coolant level through?

Re: Wheel size

Dazza's are a darker colour than on the Audi but the castings look the same. As you say, the Porsche had a lot of VW/Audi input (did it not have a 2ltr engine from the VW LT van?) so it's no wonder the wheels got used.

But when they didn't release the Force 7 they used them on the P76 Targa Florio.
Bit of trivia, these are later series mags as they have the chamfer on the inside edge for more clearance to the ball joint.
