Is that the car from York that the engine was for sale on ebay? If it is I emailed him asking about front doors as there was no pictures of the car other than a red engine bay and he said the drivers door was badly damaged, so I would say accident damage if its the same car.

I think that was the one advertised in a salvage yard with a broken window a while ago. Might still be in the same place but on the road now.

Sounds like the cable is frayed or rusted inside its sleeve, or the linkage on the side of the carb needs oiling.

Seat belt stalks are bolted into captive nuts so easy from inside the car. It was a tight fit.

Took the coupe to its first show this year, good turnout but I was the only Marina and it got quite a bit of attention. I don't do many shows, prefer the road runs but this was a nice venue.

Pics of the carpet as promised, I must have had to cut mine for the coupe seat locking bar, the four doors don't have that so the carpet comes without that cut. Been awhile since I put it in and couldn't remember.

I normally get the latex backed carpet with heel pad and bound edges. I'm bringing the car home at the weekend from winter storage so I'll take a picture for you then.

I have always used Coverdale carpets for all my classic cars including my mk1 marina and they fit well, last well and are of good quality. If you ring them they will send you some colour samples.

Wish I'd kept mine it was mint, it went to Ireland but hasn't been seen since.
