Re: Tour de France TC
I don't know of any BOJ cars that survive. The former owner of the coupe was trying to track it down but it's undoubtedly long dead now! I also have this shot of BOJ 622K. Looking up the reg numbers either side would give an indication how big this batch of cars was.

The BOJ Marinas must have been the sporting division of the press fleet!

Re: Mk3 Coupe trim
Yes MK3 HLs came with those bits painted in black, although that trim level wasn't available on a coupe- just saloons and estates. They do look smart with it, especially in yellow!

Re: Mk3 Coupe trim
MK3 UK market coupes just had the normal body colour window surrounds. They were only offered in base or 'L' spec. L spec models had black C pillar vents on account of the vinyl roof. MK3 saloons and estates had black sills and sill trims on the HL spec.

Re: Nolathane Steering Rack Bushes
I fitted one of the red ones to the M reg coupé I had. Used just the one original screw. Think the guy I sold it to has done about 70k miles in it now and still going strong!

Re: Nolathane Steering Rack Bushes
With an original rack bush to hand it would be easy to get some proper bronze ones made up to the same dimensions. Problem solved!

Re: Nolathane Steering Rack Bushes
Just to clarify I have never had a red bush pull out. I rebuilt the racks in three cars with red bushes and all are still performing well, one after about 50,000 miles! With the red bushes I just used the original screw to retain it. The first black bush I tried pulled out as soon as I turned the st...

Re: MARINA 1.8 SALOON_UEX935L
Here it is! If you do happen to return, how would you feel about leaving a note asking if they would be willing to sell it? If it's any good we'd get it back on the road, if it's too far gone we would break it to help keep others on the road

Ah yes I know the car. Seen it pop up in various photos. Would be nice to bring it back to East Anglia one day. EX is a Norfolk reg.

Re: Steering Rack Bushes
That just doesn't make sense to me... the black ones are definitely softer! Fitted several of the red ones and never had an issue, even using the single screw.

Re: Steering Rack Bushes
I have had them slip out but there's no damage on the bush afterwards. They just don't take screws properly since they changed to the black type. My solution is to put screws next to it to stop them falling out. Need to get a video of one fitted using just the standard screw and it falling out.

You could have a pair of seasonal Marinas Tony. This one for summer with the roof open and HTL for winter!
