I will publish here once the next magazine is out.

There are some surprises.
The next magazine is out so time to publish the DVLA data.

Re: Your dream marina

Hi Paul

Nice to see you have come round to my way of thinking. I am not a Trekkie so had to check out your Marina. Nice model, good bodywork, older than me but will make an exception in this instance.

Re: £18000 marina!!

Looks as if someone has been driving this car in reverse round the museum. We are told that it has been 'droved for 250km', I recall that last time I looked at the sale details it had been 'droved for 378km'.

The General wrote:the seller must be a fruit and nut case ifhe thinks that any marina is worth that amount of money.
Agree entirely with this statement, unthinkable that anyone would part with that sum of money, but there might just be another 'fruit and nutter' around with money to spare.

Re: Spotted in Scarborough yesterday afternoon

DVLA has colour registered as BROWN which is not very helpful.
Well done getting the vehicle registration, in unexpected moments like this it is easy to miss out.

Re: ireland

Sorry cannot help with it's history but saw sale advert for this vehicle in December 2009, 34k miles, £3295, which is a lot of cash for a Marina.

Re: Data sheet

What data sheet???????? Yeah! What data sheet? Not sure what you mean. Clearly some clarification needed here so take a look at 'Understeer WINTER 2009' page 19 bottom half 'MMOC National Survey and Register' and all will be explained!. Do you mean this http://homepage.ntlworld.com/c.weedon/member_...

Hi Paul

You are not alone, also not received, although not as anxious as you to complete a written form.

Re: Some old pics found

If you look carefully, you can just see the blue stainless Kwitfit exhaust that were sold in those days On my first Marina, owned 1976-1979, I had a blue exhaust fitted but it was mild steel. Whilst not wishing to contradict what has been quoted I must also add that for my current Marina, which I h...

Re: Car Scrappage

More the shame that many classics are going to get crushed. For every Moggie I am sure there is a Marina. Doubt it, there are thousands of Minors and only hundreds of Marinas. The Minor owners club boasts of 14,500 members, not all will actually own a Minor, and recently at a Morris Minor rally at ...

Re: DVLA 'first registration date'

Thanks for the replies. Firstly want to clarify my comment about seeing a photograph of EAW 790L - not so, this registration is the one referred to in the post about a stolen Marina in the West Midlands. Checked on introduction of SORN - 31st January 1998. Never quite understood the vehicle data we ...

DVLA 'first registration date'

Can anyone explain the following please? Somewhere I recently saw a photograph of a Mark1 estate - EAW 790L - looking at the DVLA database:- http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/ (VEHICLE ENQUIRY) this vehicle has a manufacture date of 1972 but a first registration date of '20 03 2000' Ian
