The only answer to that is lots of WD40 and oil try working it on and off a bit. Failing that its mole grips on the key to try to pull it out, providing goes to the full off position. There's a fair chance of damage to lock/key but as I see it needs a new one anyway so nothing ventured nothing gained

Yea your right Dave sounds knackered anyway, I will let wd40 soak a bit more overnight and try bit more force tomorrow. Do you know if the ignition barrels are common with others or are they Marina specific mines a MK3.?

Cheers Jeff

I don’t know whether yours is a Mk1 Marina or not? If it is and the key is on the left side of the steering column, you have to press the little button in by the key in order to remove it. If yours is a later car please ignore.

DAVE the GT and the HL had an extra wire on the plug for the anti run on valve but I think the ignition locks are the same for the mk 2 its just plug has the extra wire .
