took Rachel my blue Ital for a test drive after a full build up over the last 2 years
the speedo was reading well over what the Gps was reading
it has a 1.7 box but a 3.89 axle the box has an orange speedo drive 20 teeth and a dial set that could of come of out of a 1.3 or 1.7 not sure and running 175 70 13 tyres.
I have some different speedo drives to try do I go less teeth or more teeth to get the speedo more accurate
thanks baz

Re: speedo reading over
It is my understanding all speedo heads are the same. The turns per mile are written in little print around the outside of the face. Most BL / Smiths speedos ran on 1000 turns per mile. I have a post on here with the different options of speedo drive gears and part numbers when Renzo had similar problems

Re: speedo reading over
Hi Baz I thought that I had posted previously, but all you need is a black speedo drive. It’s what Austin Rover used in the 3.89:1 axled 1300 Itals.

it's a bit of a mixed set up so wasnt sure which way to go
David confirmed that the speedo are all the same as wasn't sure if I had put clocks on out if a 1300 or 1700
