Danny, Champion of the World!
Well, alright not the world, but Danny Hopkins certainly champions the Marina in this month's Practical Classics with a bit of help from our very own Josh Ward and Chris Weedon. What a breath of fresh air to read a real classic car journalist talking sense about our beloved cars, and buying a very early limeflower coupe as a Practical Classics project car. Looking forward to seeing the car's progress in the coming issues

Re: Danny, Champion of the World!
Come and see us working on it at next March’s Resto Show at the NEC. The bodywork will all be done and we’ll be doing the suspension, steering, brakes & drivetrain. Club members, want to come and help, message me, we can get you in for free and make surethatyou’ll have time during the day to wander about the show. It’s not a freebie though, we expect you to muck in.

It's a great little project car, I am very jealous!

Yes, it certainly cheered me up leafing through PC in the supermarket on my way home from work. It reminded me of the Dukes of Hazard issue when they did the General Lee Marina coupe.

Re: Danny, Champion of the World!
Anyone, everyone - Danny is using a mixture of NOS and club panels for the restoration, we’ve been helping source them. We’re still looking for a nearside wing in steel, either BL or pattern part. At a pinch a good used one could be used,
It’s going to hold up the restoration, so if anyone has one available I know that Danny has sensible cash waiting.

Re: Danny, Champion of the World!
Hmm.... think I may have seen what you are referring to at the BL show at Gaydon in September.
Re: Danny, Champion of the World!
Hi Chris,
Ive got a N/S front wing spare, new /steel/ one of a pair from Dave Richardson for the Ital, only fitted the O/S,
if thats what you want. pattern though, but the O/S went on OK...
