PTH went for an MOT today, passed with minor advisories. No visual change but here's a pic anyway
Another happy Marina - timspencer

Finally sorted the blowing exhaust on Tara, amazingly the nuts on the downpipes all came off without snapping
Barry had supplied me with the sealing rings and that's one job done.
Unfortunatly I still have no gears, I bled the slave cylinder and have some feel but its still not working,
I will wait until I can get someone to operate the clutch and see what's happening/not happening!

Not a great deal. Another new radio from the stash so now we have FM and MP3 and cassette capability.
This is the third one in a year! Which is a bad advert for a radio man!
Also a good clean in readiness for a show at Stoneyhurst show near Skipton tomorrow. Weather permitting but forecast is reasonable! T

Unstuck the clutch!
As mentioned, up on jack stands, in 4th and accelerated with the clutch pedal depressed and ping! Also wax oiled under the front wings etc
Mot here we come
Then its a case of painting or not painting in time for the NEC....
Next few weeks will decide on that

My Mk2 would do it all the time, two weeks in a dry barn was enough- Mud never did, even when standing outside for months on end.

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Had a message from Chris about someone needing a few clutch parts for her Marina in Newport so I took a trip up to see exactly what was needed as she wasn't explaining it very well... it needs more than just a few clutch bits! The owner is in her seventies and she got taken for a ride at her local garage, the type of place you see on investigative TV series about dodgy workplaces. The car needs welding and is missing a few bits after the garage apparently threw the parts in the bin, I'm thinking they were parts pinching from what I can make out, anyway, she's owned the car since 1992, has no mechanical knowledge and thinks that when the clutch is fixed that the car is good to go.. nope, in it's current state it's pretty dangerous. Before I properly looked at the car I told her I can fix it, meaning the clutch, she gave me a huge hug and nearly broke out in tears! She thought I meant fix the whole car! So now I'm in a dilemma, I can't tell her no now, it would break her heart, and I can't charge her what it would cost to fix it. You should see her, she's so small and sweet, the type who bakes cakes and sings you a lullaby when you're not feeling well! Damn you Chris, why did I ever pick up your message?!

Sorry Gareth, I just thought that it was a local opportunity for you to sell some parts from your parts stash. Sorry about that.

..he says with a chuckle ahh, it's all good mate, still keep me posted on anything Marina related in Wales, always appreciate it. I might be taking a look at that rotten brown estate near me if the buyer doesn't turn up, he asked me to ring him later. If I do, I'll save what I can from it and scrap the rest.

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
This is the other Marina she owns...
Apart from some bubbling on the sills and the odd rot spot here and there, it's a pretty good car, runs nicely. The engine mounts have let go so will be taking a set up to fit so she can drive it again. She is/was currently driving it. I saw the engine rocking when she started it and asked if she could give it a rev, the poor A series almost did a complete 360 in the bay! - Pont.skins
