There are genuine Factory endorsed soft tops, designed by Crayford and manufactured by Mumford. Do a Google search on Marina Mumford.

This is not one of them, it was butchered from a Coupe some years ago. Before this car could be put on the road it will need to have a full IVA test and a Q plate as it would be classified by the DVSA as having had the monocoque radically altered.

You learn something every day. The Marina Mumford looks quite pretty - which is more than can be said for the "thing" being advertised on Ebay!

That car is pretty much worthless unless the roof is put back or broken for spares unfortunately. I am amazed they went to the trouble of making a hood for it. Not that classic cars are safe compared to modern vehicles but that is a death trap.

This is what a real Mumford Convertible looks like.

Has it been withdrawn as I tried looking it up but to no avail?

I rather fancy as the original post is five years back, the eBay listing will be long gone now ;)

May be good for garden planting or banger racing if you have a death wish I guess! If you want a convertible get a proper Mumford. Looks better and has some sort of roll bar.

S'funny. According to my header the original comment was posted in Jan 2025 so was the item relisted, or am I going doolally? :-D
