Car spotting in North Wales

Post by ~Sam~ » Mon Oct 08, 2007 2:01 pm

My friend went to North Wales at the weekend and came back all excited saying she had seen some Marinas (she thinks they are pretty cool!) However I said that one looked like an ital and the other looked slightly cortina-ish but I'm not great at IDing cars by the front wing so any confirmation or information on what it is would be appriciated!

The more I look at them the more I doubt myself so please put me out my misery!

The first one is a Chrysler Avenger - not to be confused with the Hillman Avenger.

The second one is a Vauxhall - looks like a Vauxhall Victor.

Yep, right in both cases! :D
The classic car movement needs Jeremy Clarkson like Jenson Button needs a towhitch and a Sprite Musketeer....

The Hillman Avengers were exported to the states for a couple of years also but they were badged as "Plymouth Crickets". Must have looked funny sitting in the dealership considering the size of the other Mopar cars of '71.
