I'm positive they are 7's. Same as mine.

I was thinking about getting a set done for my van, if they are 7" what size tyres are you running on them?

Never done Fords myself, but that Consul Capri does look nice - could almost jump ship.. On second thoughts, those wire wheels just don't look quite right, so think I'll be sticking with my Marinas. Gets me thinking though - pillarless Coupe anyone?

Have begun preparing my estate for sale.
Am refitting the vinyl front seats and keeping the cloth jobs for the 575.
I will also fit a different sports steering wheel as this one is the most comfortable in use. I have big hands...
Mechanically it needs both front shocks replaced, probably one tie-rod end, and one brake disc.
Hopefully the rain will stop soon and I will be able to do all of the above.

Took this photo just now and put it on facebook.
Like lady drivers - Marinas look best when wet.. ;)

Very nice. 8-) Are you selling with the alloys? What diameter steering wheel do you prefer (I don't have big hands, but I like a chunky rim)?

Yes - the car will sell with 13" x 7" Superlites.

Not sure what diameter the steering wheel is - but it has an extremely well-padded rim and virtually no dish - so it is placed well away from the driver..

This car also has the 2 litre engine with Princess camshaft, so is quite 'eager'.

Can't get over how good it looks...

I think you will regret selling this one.

I have been dealing with the regret for some years - but all my Marinas are going downhill fast because I do not have the resources to keep them all up to scratch.
If I do not move some on to others who take up the challenge I fear they will perish.

They drive wonderfully - just cannot handle the local salt spray atmosphere...

Haven't posted an update for a while so thought I would do it here. I have recently:

Had an AUX fitted to my radio
Hopefully sorted a braking issue where when I pressed the brake it would be very close to stalling/stall
Regularly serviced the engine
Resprayed all the wheels ready for the shows
Welded a hole up that was in the floor

Now I just need to, before Sunday and inbetween work:

Respray the front of a wheel as I'm not happy with it
Clean up the inside/outside as best as possible
Refit the front carpet
Spray the sills black (If I have time)

Before the National (which I'm really excited for) I need to:

Service all the brakes
Maybe underseal
Maybe clean the tank out
Maybe change the engine/gearbox oil
Tune the Carb
Time the engine if needed
Grease trunions/UJs
Buy a new boot seal
I think a rear wheel bearing is failing so change that
Clean everywhere
Buy a lot of spares for the trip

Quite a bit then, only problem using it daily I guess, but I wouldn't change that fact ;).

Wish me luck,

Alex

Me and a friend spent a couple of hours fitting a heated window element in PTH today. We were like surgeons wiping sweat from our brow fitting this as once it sticks that's it, there is no peeling it back to reposition it!

Not sure what the lady in the picture is saying.. it's either "who drew that maze on our window" or "is that Marina following us"
