Camshaft paint mark

Hi all!
I was wondering if anyone could help with this query please.
With the sump off my 1.8 I noticed that my camshaft has an orange mark on it and was wondering what this might indicate?
Research online gives various opinions, from indicating an OE grind to an engineer differentiating between camshafts being worked on.
An MGB Camshaft advertised by Rimmer Bros also shows the same mark in the exact same color.
