There is a tiny spring clip that holds a little pad, on which the hand brake lever sits, in place on the brake shoe. One of mine is broken.
Does anyone know if it is vital to life or where I might get a replacement from?
I am going to try and attach a picture.

Not vital the part number is 37H3076 used on some Triumph's but part number with be different though. You have the brake springs on wrong though the one with the straight bit in middle of spring should line up with rubber boot on wheel cylinder.

Ah - deliberate mistake . I thought something didn't look right. It's ages since I wrestled with old school drum brakes....david painter wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 8:50 pmYou have the brake springs on wrong though the one with the straight bit in middle of spring should line up with rubber boot on wheel cylinder.
