Mk1 pickup rear brake shoe size?

Post by da55ter » Tue Nov 09, 2021 7:42 am

Online searches and my Haynes manual both say 8inch but they don't fit, they're too small. Anyone have an idea?

Is this for a 10cwt van or pickup? They used different running gear to the saloons/coupes estates/7cwt vans.

The saloons/coupes estates/7cwt vans did use 8” drums.

Can you see a Hub nut on end of half shaft (7 cwt axle) on just a flat disc ( 10 cwt axle)

Yes - all pickups are 10cwt rated and use a heavy duty axle that is different from the saloon etc. the axle is the same as the early MGB Banjo axle so that’s where you need to look.
