It appears that the trusty mk1 is about to throw a wobbler. I collected it on Sunday and within 40 miles it split the lower rad hose which I taped up and limped home with.
The problem seem to have stemed from a knackered thermostat. I sorted that out and have been running it as a daily this week but the car doesn't seem to like me. I had already identified a fair list of wee jobs needing done but when I got in the car this morning to go to work I heard a cracking sound which turned out to be the drivers seat going through the floor at the rear right mounting point! I put it on the ramp at work today and despite generally being solid there are a few horrors lurking.
Really didn't want another project, oh well.
Update 03/07, fixed the indicators today, but have stopped driving it!
