Sorry Josh,

I saw the the Led Zeps, Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd, Genesis and others in period and The Floyd were and are by far and away the best.

1973 or was it 1972 - Earls Court - no not the Mortor Show but the world premier of Dark Side of the Moon - I was there but I can't remember the year (you'll know why or you won't) - can't be beaten sorry.

And what about the Syd Barrett days? Interstellar Overdrive :) Personally I prefer Dire Straits to both! And '73 was when Dark Side Of The Moon was released. Josh (who is a vinyl junkie :D )

I think Interstellar Overdrive only worked well when you were stoned (allegedly). "Set the controls for the heart of the sun!" now there's a line from a song. When they did it at Earls Court they fired a man sized rocket down a wire from the back of the auditorium, into an enormous brass gong (8 feet across) at the back of the stage, and the gong burst into flames!!!!!

Pink Floyd!, better than LedZep!...your`e having a laugh mate!!!, i saw Led Zep at Knebworth in 1979 they were the business and can in my opinion never be topped! , mind you i`ve just seen Muse live and they just blew everyone away what a fantastic band, but if you want a good 70's band on your 8 track while you`re out cruising in your` Marina you can`t beat a bit of Blockbuster by Sweet!

Ah Sweet, another great band. I've also heard that Interstellar Overdrive sounds better when you're stoned! (I haven't tried it though). I must say I have more Led Zep albums than Floyd albums (6 Led Zep ones, 3 Floyd ones). How about Meat Loaf? :)
