reasonably priced

It's been for sale for awhile. It came to the road run at the Devon nationals.

I thought I'd seen it, I remember we had to give the chap some sun cream,he was burning up on the road run.

I went to see this about twenty years ago when it was for sale! I think the asking price was £3000 which would have been reasonable for a car in tip top condition but this wasn't the case.We still had a good weekend in Cornwall though and the loss of Biffa Lockey's eyebrows is a tale of it's own! It does seem to be very reasonably priced.Fortunately it's too far away and I'm probably putting my own Mumford on eBay soon as I'm losing quite a bit of storage space in the near future!

Hmm, I was linked to this on the 75 and ZT owners club, go on Matty you know it makes sense, I seriously am considering a trip out to Cornwall this week with the A frame in the boot.........I've certainly done less sensible things

Looking at pictures on his website, O/S Sill to quarter panel seam is missing and full of grot, with the rot pushing it out. Bottom of N/S/F wing is rotten too!

Hence the reasonable asking price methinks.I probably have the panels but not the skill,funds or space!! I wonder what it would be worth if it was an Escort,Cortina etc of similar rarity?

Reasonably priced for a car needing engine & gearbox, plus at least wing bottoms, plus the interior will need retrimming as you can see that the nylon seat cover has broken up. Budget 3k-5k more.

However - where will you find another one?

Cheaper than a Crayford Cortina... and more stylish too in my opinion. Prices are rising though, even on standard Marina's.
I think people are slowly starting to see there's a world not too dissimilar to overpriced classic Fords!

No,not me Chris!! I was tempted but I really do need to make some space as I'm going to lose some long term storage quite soon.I hope it's gone to a good home and the new owner makes a visit or two to this forum. As opposed to some optimistic dealer hoping to make a few quid!

Hi everyone

I just want to let everybody know that the Mumford has gone to a good home. It took about four months for it to arrive here in Vancouver B.C. from purchase to landing on Friday but it has been well worth the wait!
The Mumford joins my fleet of a pair of saloons and a GT coupe. The car does need a fair amount of body work but I plan on getting the car to a useable state so I can enjoy it for a couple of years before it gets restored. I will be converting it to left hand drive as well as North Americanizing it ie:tandem master cylinder and lights.All right hand drive parts will be gently stored away in a corner of my shop.
Having the only Mumford in North America and possibly the only left hand drive Mumford ,even if it's converted by me,in the world really gets me excited!!
