Part number for rear quarterlight window parts

Post by locost_bryan » Sun Dec 01, 2019 11:19 pm

Does anyone have an English parts book that lists the part numbers of the hinge rubbers for the opening rear quarterlight windows?

My Australian parts book has HYB6260. Were they shared with any other BL or BMC vehicle, such as the 2-door ADO16 1100/1300?

Thanks Brian.
Had a chat with Gordon on Sunday so up with the play.
I am thinking that I shall be making something up myself, so shall see what basis may have as a starting point profile.
Go well.

Hi Bryan,

Not sure if you're still looking for this information but I found this in one of my part books. If it's not quite what you need or it doesn't bring anything back let me know and I'll have another look in some others I have somewhere

Thanks for those pages. The part number ADA5603 came up amongst ADO16 1100/1300 listings here. That was the only hit I got.

So Skip Harris' supplier in the US could be the fallback option, if the ADO16 facebook groups draw a blank.

Bryan

I spoke to these people yesterday - they are out of stock and don’t expect to get any more.

Bryan
I have found the man in the USA who previously had the ADA 5603's made from polyurethane, but the mould disintegrated after the last batch.
He will now have a new mould made and thinks it will cost around US$100 for a set.
I am a definite as is another person in the USA.
He said Skip Harris contacted him a year or so back but at that time they were not sure that the Marina part was of the same dimensions.
Since our emails he now thinks it is, so will get moving on the next lot providing the operators are still open for business.
Will notify progress as it happens.

Ken, I found some very similar rubber hinges used on Mk1 Escort 2 doors and another on Capris. RememberIng that the Marina was designed by an ex-Ford guy, they be quite similar. I provided Bryan with the details as far as I could, so it’s another lead to follow up on.
