Clutch Release Bearing

Post by martinclan » Tue Feb 04, 2025 4:22 pm

I am about to re-assemble the engine to the gearbox. Exciting - only been parted for about 3 years...
The clutch release bearing appears to be fine but is it worth replacing anyway?
It looks like a press fit on the sleeve/carrier and I wondered if it would end up being one of those "why did I start this" jobs....

Cheers, Robin

Pressing the old release bearing off and the new one on shouldn’t take long. It should not then need replacing for another 40k miles.
