3 branch manifold

Post by Supersevencaterham » Wed Jan 28, 2015 10:08 pm

I want to fit a 3 branch manifold to my 1.3.

Do you modify a mini one or a midget?

Suggestions would be appreciated.

Clive.

Go for a Midget one Clive, the Mini manifold is turned in the wrong direction for a Transverse engine, the Midget will fit with a little heat adjustment to alter the angle of the tail so it fits flush under the car ;)

Hi I bought a midget one it seemed to long the down pipe bit also it looked like it was going to foul some of the components down the side of the engine so I bought a mini one and just cut and turned 90* only thing I had to mod was shave a bit out of the engine mounting bracket
Sounds very good though and more performance when you get the revs up
Good luck worth doing at the same time mg metro inlet and carb :-D
